Charity

Charity has always been a core principle of Freemasonry. The London Rugby Lodge has a particular focus on London Rugby based causes, but also make an important contribution to support other local, national and global charities and the most disadvantaged in society.

Freemasonry is one of the largest charitable givers in the country, contributing £30m-£40m each year to deserving causes.  This includes substantial donations to the London air ambulances, blood bikes and a number of emergency response vehicles, including two super aerial platforms for the London Fire Brigade.

A charitable collection is made at each lodge meeting and members are also encouraged to make regular monthly donations to support our charitable causes. All donations should be appropriate to your means and should not interfere with your family life. We also hold various fundraising events during the year.
