A much moustachioed Movember for Kingsway

It’s hard to miss Movember, which has gone from strength to strength in the past decade; and was surely bound to be a Metropolitan supported charity at some stage. This came to pass in 2025; and Kingsway Lodge  No 3027, led by Charity Steward Russell Cattell, were proud to support this year’s Met Grand Lodge Movember campaign.

Russell set himself the challenge of growing a moustache and walking 40+ miles during the month of November in conjunction with the Grand Met 'Stiff Upper Lip' Inspectorate team.

An initial Lodge donation of £200 matched pound-for-pound by Met got the campaign off to a great start.

Fast forward to the end of November, and Russell had grown a sizeable moustache and walked well in excess of his 40-plus miles. Supported by Lodge members, relatives and friends, he had added a further £450, bringing the total to £850.

At the regular Kingsway Lodge meeting on Wednesday 17th December, Russell, together with the officers of the Lodge, donned an array of dodgy black moustaches (for those who needed them) to celebrate a successful Movember campaign.

Kingsway has already agreed that this event will be a regular feature in its charity calendar.
